  • P33 is founded, marking the beginning of efforts to unify Chicago’s tech ecosystem and position the city as a major tech hub. 
  • P33 mobilizes its entire team to support the state and city with efforts to address the COVID-19 crisis, including supporting the Illinois Department of Public Health in determining the viability of testing and contract tracing, building an implementation plan for contact tracing, and supporting the state with systems implementation.
  • In partnership with Discovery Partners Institute, P33 builds a skills portal to provide online upskilling for the tens of thousands of individuals who were suddenly unemployed due to the pandemic.
  • P33 solidifies partnerships with local organizations and businesses, creating a network of support across government, academia, and private sectors.
